Village Foundations operates mainly in Malawi, but it also supports other organisations across the world in humanitarian operations. VF tries to spread its resources in a way that maximises the impact it has, and it gives appropriate help to as many people as it can. When initiating a project, VF works with local leaders and communities to establish what needs exist in the area, enabling it to make positive interventions based on need rather than perception.
Malawi Projects
Although VF works across the globe, our primary focus and flagship projects reside in Malawi, the warm heart of Africa. We run a range of projects across healthcare, education, clean water and agriculture as well as supporting a number of supporting projects, providing benefits to a growing crowd of hundreds of thousands of people.
NGO and Charity Linkages
In addition to our own projects, Village Foundations frequently partners with other charities and NGO’s. This means that we provide the infrastructure, facilities and staff to enable other organisations to provide services from our facilities to the benefit of the communities we serve and those from further afield. We passionately believe that when organisations like ours work together instead of competing, a new level of efficiency and impact can be reached, with the benefit being larger than the sum of our individual contributions.
Other Projects
Village Foundations also supports Light Home Ministries in India, in its endeavours to build a hospital for the Dhalit Community. It’s also seeking to develop a project in Myanmar with the organisation Adonai Child Rehabilitation (ACR), which is providing good, quality education for over a dozen orphans. VF also has a disaster relief fund, which is currently being used all over the world to support those affected by disasters.
