School Kitchen

Monday 14th January 2013

Approimately 2400 pupils travel to Ndanga Primary School each day. Leaving early in the morning they travel many kilometres before arriving at school. Thirsty they may take a drink from the school water borehole but because the water is salty it only adds to their thirst. The pupils study hard each day but some become sick because they have had nothing to eat all day. VIllage Foundations sought to address this as a result of a groups visit to the school early in 2012. So, now, as a result of the groups efforts a new kitchen has been built. The next step is to raise sufficient funds to implement a School Feeding Programme which will ensure each child has a bowl of porridge and piece of fruit each day.
